Our Once Upon A Time: What’s Your Fairy Tale?

Once upon a time a boy who met a girl…well, you know how the timeless tale goes. As a couple, you and your sweetheart will be asked about how the two of you met. No doubt, you’ll begin to form your own timeless tale that you can tell again and again about how your love came to be. But how the story is told is what will truly captivate your listeners and how to properly tell your story is what Our Once Upon A Time and Will Bans does for you.

It all started when Will Bans finished reading the story in ‘Our Story’ section of his friends’ wedding Web site and thought that, frankly, their story could have been told better. Not only should it be told better, but it deserved better. They deserved better is what Will concluded.

And Will is absolutely right! After all, a couple’s story of they how they met, fell in love and decided to marry is really the story of a family. Will believes that when future generations ask, “how did they meet?” or “how did this family start?” it would be ideal to not just tell them, but rather to show them. With that in mind, Our Once Upon A Time was born.

Will, a former full-time journalist who still freelances, writes couples’ stories with the kind of detail featured in in-depth magazine profiles and more depth than The New York Times. Whether it is for the wedding day or an anniversary, it’s the kind of story Will wishes he had for his great-grandparents on his father’s side, because little is known about how his great-grandfather, Hajara Sidhu Singh, of India, met his wife, Maria Esperanza (maiden name unknown), of Mexico.
